The ability to read a person’s body and create a massage experience that is so in tuned with every fibre, ever muscle and every stretch is one of the greatest things in the world. There are many tools techniques at our disposal and Ayurveda is the foundation which helps us understand deep answers to big questions on exactly how to approach each client in the best way possible. In this course we will discuss them all and how to use them to our greatest advantage in order to give the absolute best massages. We’ll use ayurveda as our launching point refining how to massage according to the doshas and customize the course for each student in order to take what you already know to the next level. We will also add new and advanced postures to your practice. While this course has the experienced practitioner in mind, it is also open to anyone curious and eager to learn the incredible art that is Thai Massage. Students will gain the ability to: – Understand and address the body’s subtle energies through Ayurveda; – Give an entire massage without the use of hands and thumbs – Incorporate the knees and feet as a new touch technique and massage tool. * Students will gain the most out of this course if they already have a basic knowledge of Ayurveda and how to determine a person’s vata-pitta-kapha constitution. There are many resources available and a study list will be provided upon registration About the teacher: Over the past thirteen years Shai has taught Thai Massage at some of the largest yoga centers in the world including the Kripalu Center and Omega Institute.
