In this blog video post, I share my story of a recent injury and some important rules to consider when treating clients who present themselves with injuries. I talk about the acronym -RICER and explain why you want to consider this before massaging clients or loved ones and family members. I was in a considerable amount of pain and could hardly move my neck for about 4 days. The stiffness remained really painful for about 2 weeks so there was an ongoing discussion in my family about how long I should wait to see someone like a massage therapist, chiropractor or an osteopath for help. Share your stories- whether you are a professional or have been on the receiving end of treatment after an injury and let us know how it went and what you learned. I will also be here to answer any questions in the comments below!
